Tilia Remote Time Source

PTP Grandmaster for remote precision timing in mines and tunnels

Seisodin Tilia PTP Grandmaster

The Tilia PTP Grandmaster is a remote timing device for use with Seisodin Tilia-series accelerographs in mines and tunnels. With the Tilia PTP Grandmaster it is possible to place the time source in a different location than the accelerographs. This is especially useful in applications like dams, tunnels and mines where the accelerographs have a limited sky view for their own GNSS antenna.

The Tilia PTP Grandmaster builds on a hardware supported phase-locked PTP (Precise Time Protocol) integration, using a highly precise GNSS receiver which supports GPS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou and GLONASS. With this integration it is possible to achieve industry-leading timing precision of 40 nanoseconds. The device can be ordered with twisted pair ethernet (up to 100m) or integrated fiber optical transceivers (up to 20km) and can simply be daisy chained with the accelerographs. The integrated UPS ensures operation even during power outages.
